Know Before You Invest

What You're In For

Everything you need to know about FAME Investing — what we do, how our investment types work, and what to expect on your journey.

What is FAME Investing?

FAME — Financial Assets Mobilizing Everybody — is a SEC Regulation CF crowdfunding marketplace that connects everyday investors with local growing businesses seeking capital. We believe that local establishments contribute immensely to the economy and that investors should be enabled in helping their communities grow.

Community-Driven

Investments come from real people in real communities — not faceless institutions. You decide which businesses deserve your support.

SEC Regulated

All offerings are conducted under SEC Regulation CF, providing a legal framework and investor protections for crowdfunding investments.

Growing-Business Focused

We exclusively serve local growing businesses — the backbone of the economy — giving them access to capital that was previously out of reach.

The Two Ways You Can Invest

FAME offers two distinct investment structures. Each has its own mechanics, risk profile, and return potential.

Debt Notes

Fixed-Income Investment

A Debt Note works like a loan. You lend money to a business and they repay you with fixed interest over a set period. Your return is predictable — you know upfront exactly how much you'll earn and when.

How It Works

  • • You invest a fixed amount (e.g., $1,000)
  • • The business pays you interest (e.g., 8% APR)
  • • You receive monthly or quarterly payments
  • • Your full principal is returned at the end of the term

Key Risks

  • • Business may default and miss payments
  • • Returns are capped — no upside beyond interest rate
  • • Principal is at risk if business fails
  • • No secondary market to sell your note early
Typical Interest Rate: 6–12% APR

Revenue-Based Sharing

Performance-Linked Investment

Revenue-Based Sharing (RBS) ties your returns directly to the business's monthly revenue. Instead of a fixed payment, you receive a percentage of what the business earns each month — until you've hit your target return multiple.

How It Works

  • • You invest (e.g., $1,000) with a target return (e.g., 1.3x)
  • • You receive a % of the business's monthly revenue
  • • Payments flex with the business — more revenue = faster payback
  • • Ends once you've received your total target ($1,300)

Key Risks

  • • Payments vary month to month with revenue
  • • Could take longer if the business underperforms
  • • No guarantee of reaching target multiple
  • • No secondary market to exit early
Target Return Multiple: 1.2x – 1.5x

What Are You Actually Investing In?

On FAME, you invest directly into vetted local growing businesses — restaurants, retail shops, service providers, and more. These are real businesses operating in your community, not startups or speculation.

Verified Financials

Businesses connect their financial accounts so you can see real revenue and performance data before committing.

Established Businesses

We focus on businesses with operating history — not day-one startups. Proven track records reduce your risk.

Community Accountability

These businesses are local. They have reputations to uphold and communities that rely on them.

Transparent Terms

Every campaign clearly states the investment type, interest rate or revenue share %, term length, and funding goal.

Important Risk Reminder

All investments carry risk, including the loss of principal. Growing-business investments are illiquid — you cannot easily sell your position. Only invest money you can afford to have tied up for the duration of the investment term. Diversification across multiple campaigns is strongly recommended.
